Personal Project

This is a personal restoration project. I took an old rocking chair, sanded it, filled gaps with Bondo, sanded again, and used a paint/stain combination product to get the end result

Props Class Projects

This is a project from the molding and casting unit of props class. I molded a cosmic brownie and cast it in white resin. I then used my airbrush to paint the brownie and dipped a toothpick in acrylics to paint the sprinkles. I went for a hyper realistic look, including cracked sprinkles.

This is a project for props class that was carved out of pink foam. I used additive and subtractive carving, along with foam modeling clay to complete this fairy on a tree stump. I then used my airbrush to color the statue.

This is my hand molded in alginate and cast in plaster. The fingers were glued back on with two part epoxy and lightly sanded. The hand was then airbrushed to look necrotic

This is a project where the goal was to take an object and transform it in some way. I used a valentines day teddy bear and replaced the eyes with buttons, cut holes and sewed in felt and cardboard for the openings. The teeth, tongue, and intestines were modeled with air dry clay and then air brushed and attached with E6000 glue. Blood powder was mixed with water to create the bloody look that was then applied to the bear.

This was a painting scaled up from a printer paper sheet, then pinholes and charcoal were used to transfer the image. Three quadrants were primary colors with their complementary color. The fourth was grayscale

This was a furniture restoration/transformation project. I took a chair from an antique store and pulled it apart, sanded it, stained it, then reupholstered it. I used floral appliques sewn on to decorate the finished cushions.

This skull was made from puzzle- like pieces cut out with a band saw and scroll saw and glued together. It was then covered in clay and decorated using airbrush techniques, brushed on gold spray paint, and moss and crystals. Fairy lights were installed on the inside of the skull to give it a glow

Haunted House Projects

This is an 8′ tall rat made for a sewer at Izabella’s Curse haunted house. It was made with a wooden internal structure wrapped with chicken wire and faux fur zip tied and hot glued to the form. The arms were pool noodles. The head and feet were made from pink foam, using a hot knife. Scars were liquid latex. The teeth were oven bake clay. It was coated in a combination of tempera paints, acrylic paints, and wood stain for color. (His name is Terrance)

This is a birthday cake for a clown scene at Izabella’s Curse haunted house. The cake needed to look expired, gross, and messy, for this scene. It was made with Styrofoam rounds glued to a cake board. It was then covered with spray foam and dipped in water to form a shell for shaping it. I put spray foam in a Ziplock bag and piped it onto the cake to create a boarder.

This is a fountain that was made to run fake blood through it. There is an aquarium pump in the bottom of the kiddie pool for return to the tubbing at the top of the angels head. It was coated in concrete to give a cohesive look.

This is a chunk of meat to be put in the meat hanging room at Izabella’s Curse haunted attraction. It was made using Chicken wire and spray foam. It was then covered with cotton dipped in latex. Finally it was fully airbrushed and made to look moldy
